      <image:title>Classes - Horsehair Raku</image:title>
<image:caption>Saturday May 10th at 4:00 p.m. Saturday July 26th Saturday August 23rd 4:00pm This is a method of decorating ceramic pottery using the mane and tail hair of horses. Sometimes adding feathers too. The burning carbonaceous material creates smoke patterns and carbon trails on the surface of the heated ware that remains as decoration after the ware cools When you arrive, you will have a choice of several Raku-ready pots. Each pot will be priced, and you will add the horsehair or feathers to decorate your own creation. It is removed from the kiln around 1400 degrees Fahrenheit and the horsehair is applied to the piece. We also offer memory medallions with your horse’s name. Outdoors setting</image:caption>

      <image:title>About</image:title>
<image:caption>The name of our pottery comes from a story my grandmother told me as a child. ”Willahollow,” she said, was a place that was far away and had no work to be done; it was a place to play and have fun. That’s what Willahollow is to us, a place far and away filled with play! There was a long period during which Michael was not working in pottery. Michael has returned to his love of “potting”. Now he is a full-time potter with two other potters, Jessica Kuhns and Joshua Cole, in a special place called Willahollow Pottery!</image:caption>
